How do you deal with uncertainty?
I have always been an individual who thinks black and white, no grey. Getting a late diagnosis of autism at 43, I’ve struggled with uncertainty.
I don’t like wishy washy plans, information and lack of details in conversations, policies, procedures and legal vs illegal.
I appeared to be standoffish and difficult. Now that I know my new diagnosis, I am able to navigate more on what’s in my control and what’s not.
Being undiagnosed for my entire life has led me to being misunderstood, my needs not met and being teased and bullied.
So, I’m a work in progress now. I’m learning to be my autistic self and I am learning to be less anxious and hyper focused about the uncertainties in my life that are not in my control. LET GO, LET GOD!
