Radical Acceptance

What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

How do you really answer that question how do you know what struggles you’re really going to be struggling with within the next 6 months. Struggles are challenges and challenges become wins if you apply yourself and put in the hard work. Most times right?

My best logical answer is radical Acceptance is the biggest challenge I’m facing. Radical acceptance is being able to fully acknowledge the facts of your life, including the parts you hate,  to reduce your emotional suffering.

Radical acceptance is something that you need to practice. Here are a few steps on radical acceptance.

*Be aware of when you are battling with reality (i.e. ruminating, complaining, wishing things were different).
*Have understanding that reality is what it is, even when you don’t prefer it. …

*Take action and accept the situation as it is, without judgment.

I think everyone has struggles with radical acceptance at times and that’s life. You have to accept things whether they’re fair or not. It is what it is. That’s something that I will always work on. The more I work on it, the easier it gets because the only control you have in this world is yourself! Not anything else.

What’s your take on this?
