What’s your favorite time of day?
When the majority of the world is asleep, at night, is where I feel alive.
In the summer, the crickets and frogs serenade their own American song as the summer breeze kicks in. The moon and stars are little complimentary lanterns as I walk my dog, hearing every step I take.
The fall months are my favorite as the air is at a perfect crisp temperature and the leaves make a nature’s melody that is delightful to my ears. The moon is large and orange and leaves a magnificent reflection on the lake at night hours.
When winter hits, it’s like a ghost town. White like one too. The winds gust through the trees and buildings making an eerie sound throughout the town. The moon illuminates off the snow making it easy to see at night across the open fields. My dog especially likes to put on his boots and coat and go skipping across the drifts of snow. I especially like his little outfit and how he skips and dashes.
Spring. Lively ness it brings. The fresh air in the evenings. The sunsets. The lakes peeking freshwater beyond the ice. Everything waiting to breathe and Bloom into all its possibilities. I especially love the sunsets in the evening.
I love the quietness at night. I can calm my busy mind in a busy world and gather my thoughts. Soaking in nature and its beauty. Regrouping, regathering, reapproaching, rejuvenating, and getting ready for my next day. Appreciating life for what it really is. Simplicity.
