People typically associate the saying “You are what you eat” with food intake or diet. If we eat healthy,
then we’ll be healthy and if we eat unhealthy, we’ll be not so healthy, but what if we take the analogy
further?
How about the things we consume around in our lives like people, topics of conversation, social media
and even our faith? Do you think what we take in on a daily basis may produce what comes out, when it
come to our character and ways?
When we want to lose weight, it all has to start with the mental willingness and strength to do so.
The positive mindset that we can and want to do it! I think that would apply in all aspects of our lives.
Including the people we’re feeding and into the topics of conversations we’re giving our energy to. Are they on a ‘healthy’ note or tone that we want in our lives or are they weighing us down with negativity?
Negative people will bring out negativity and positive people will bring out positivity. Vulgar and profane topics of conversation make people hostile and angry. Happy and pleasant conversations make people feel joyful and cheerful and i could go on and on. Meaning you are what you eat.
Faith. Where’s our faith? Do we have faith and with who? I know that my faith with the lord brings me
less worry and more serenity in my life. I have more peace and confidence when trials come my way for I know my Lord will guide me through.
So, when it comes to “You are what you eat” think of it as this…. life is a whole buffet of things that only
we can choose to consume. It’s up to us whether it’s healthy or unhealthy, positive, or negative,
productive, or unproductive so just don’t forget you are what you eat in every aspect of our lives so
consume wisely.
