Describe something you learned in high school.
There’s a book I read I believe called the most dangerous place about how high school is the most dangerous place and it got me thinking. Was high school so far in my life, the most dangerous place I’ve been? Is that something I can take with me by finding the lessons I learned from those challenges I faced during my high school years?
High school is the time in our lives where we fall in love for the first time, our hearts break for the first time, we evaluate who we are and the crowds we choose to be around. We are discovering the path of life we are going to go down. Drugs and alcohol or academically gifted and career goals. Maybe a young single mom with a mediocre job. Let’s face it…High school really was the time in your life where you molded the foundation for the rest of your life. That’s some dangerous terrain if you’re not careful.
It’s not that you can’t turn your life around at 30 for better or for worse but the odds are far better to not be playing dangerous games with your future during high school.
Don’t get me wrong every part of your life every second of your life is just as important as the next when it comes to learning. Its the capacity of risk each part holds is what may differ. So if I didn’t learn it in high school like I wish I had. I did learn something about high school that maybe I could pass it on to someone that could benefit from it.
