When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was five, I wanted to be a teacher, a singer, strong and brave like my mom, professional horse show rider and a farmer.
I wanted to be a teacher because I remember how nice, warm and welcoming my kindergarten teacher was. As far as a singer…I don’t know how well I can carry a tune, but I loved to sing when I was little, it was an outlet. Well my mom was my protector, I looked up at her strength, courage, bravery, morals, unconditional love, hard lessons and unforgettable memories. To this day I still look up to my Mom. I loved escaping on my horse and going to my extended family’s horse shows. Occasionally experiencing a barrel run or two on my own. When it came to wanting to be a farmer, I wanted to be like my dad and my grandpa. I admired the farmland they worked on and memories, lessons and self-discipline I gained.
