How has technology changed your job?
I don’t actually work, but being disabled in recovery is a job in itself. Technology, especially over the covid period, extremely helped. I was able to stay in touch with my providers and keep my appointments. When I first started my recovery, I didn’t have a driver’s license so, I was able to do out- patient treatment over zoom. It was a great program! I even have the same therapist from that facility and see them over zoom to this day. Some meetings have a zoom option. Just in case it’s convenient for that one day. So, technology has changed the convenience of attending, opened up my network and gave me more options and variety for my plan of care and recovery. It’s been a good change!
