What were your parents doing at your age?

My parents, married for 24 yrs through thick and thin, sickness and health and till death do you part.

My abusive father with alcohol and drug addiction during my entire life was dying from lung cancer. My mom honored her vows through my father’s affairs, lying, broken noses, and hard demanding work and protecting us 5 kids.

The last Christmas at my grandma’s that I had with my father is when I found out I had a half sister 2 yrs younger than me. I was going to meet her for the first time. While at my grandma’s my my half sisters mom sat next to my father and held his hand.

Two weeks later my father passed away on the living room couch with my loving, forgiving, heroic mother an angel on earth, by his side.
