I know for myself that no matter how hard I try to keep it organized and easy to find things, that a woman’s purse is the last place to be able to achieve that or even make it possible. No matter how many pouches or pockets or zippers they may have, inevitably they always end up becoming a bottomless pit of chaos. Also it’s fascinating what and how much stuff can fit in a woman’s purse. I will carry just about everything in my purse.
Need a screwdriver? sure I got it, let me grab my purse. Oh you need a double A battery? Just give me a second to find it in my purse. Don’t worry about bringing the corkscrew to the party I have one in my purse.
I would uninvent the purse if I had the option to. It definitely does not serve the simplicity of organization and convenience. The majority of the time, no matter how hard I try, I’m always battling to find something in my purse and end up dumping it all out just to find that one item.
Instead of being logical and questioning why I have unnecessary things in my purse, I’m always finding an excuse as to why I may need these items in my purse. If I could be like Mary Poppins and pull an umbrella out of my purse, I probably would feel really cool and would re-examine how I felt about purses. But that’s not the case.
