For The Love Of God

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes  in him should not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16

Growing up in a dysfunctional abusive and isolated home, I had limited outlets to escape my environment.

I’ll never forget the first Sunday when I was shown what true love was. My loving grandma introduced a local church to me, which had Sunday service at the local city hall. My faith grew in God and it was a safe outlet. So, I took that opportunity and I indulged myself with the love of God and his faith.

I strongly feel that if I was never introduced or given the opportunity of having a relationship with God, I question if I would still even be here today.

Because the love from God is so unconditional and pure I know he has carried me through many hardships in life and without that love I couldn’t have done it by myself.

In this imperfect world, as an imperfect human, I will never be abandoned by his love and I will always be forgiven. When I pray to God to forgive me for my sins, I know that it only allows me to have a closer relationship with him. Each time I confess my sins not only am I forgiven I will never be abandoned and I know that my eternity will with my father.

With each year I get stronger with my faith and I’ve learned that my life is in his hands and his plans and to be grateful for every aspect of my life regardless if it is a struggle, a success, sorrow or happiness, because all of it together will lead me to an indescribable eternity in heaven.

That’s not only just positive love, that’s forever love, that’s real love, that’s sacrifice and surrendering and trusting solely on a higher power and seeing that God is real with my own two eyes through the miracles he has done in my life is the most beautiful and amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.
